The Challenge
Real estate transactions are often confusing and stressful, with multiple parties relying on fragmented systems. Pocket set out to solve this by creating a centralized platform that made buying and selling property more transparent, efficient, and trustworthy.
The challenge was to build a platform capable of handling sensitive financial data while simplifying workflows for everyday users. Pocket needed to deliver an experience that made complex real estate processes feel straightforward, accessible, and fast—while competing against well-funded incumbents in the space.

Our Approach
We worked with Pocket to design and develop a platform that balanced technical sophistication with user-friendly design. Our UX Research process mapped the buyer and seller journey, identifying opportunities to reduce friction and improve trust.
From there, we designed flows for property discovery, agent communication, and secure transactions. Through Custom Web App Development, we delivered a scalable platform with the infrastructure needed to handle financial and personal data securely. The result was a marketplace that was both fast and transparent.
During development, we integrated with CoreLogic’s Neighborhood Scout and RealQuest API in order to get up to date real estate data and automate most of the listing process. This data also provided our customers with accurate, real-time data on neighborhood demographics, crime, and schools. We also developed complex charts with price history data and a robust bidding platform that transparently shares its bidding data to everyone. In the user dashboard, we implemented a complex series of steps that trigger one after the other as the user progresses in their buying or selling journey. This is especially powerful after an auction has ended; the platform automatically generates a purchase and sale agreement contract with all its fields filled in, then sends it to the buyers and sellers to be signed via Docusign. No middlemen necessary.
