The Challenges
Understanding and adopting the complex insurance and claim industry jargon and communicating effectively with our target user personas. In order to guide users through the workflow—blue-collar insurance professionals with generally older and less technically savvy tendencies—we needed to aptly communicate in the relevant language with a larger type scale.
The Insights
Workers’ compensation and claims are subjects that require difficult conversations that aren’t fun to have—many revolving around workplace injury. That being said, we gained an appreciation for member-facing IMWCA staff, who must be remarkably tough to carry out their jobs and serve their fellow members.
